People have talked about the game where Nolan gave him a bollocking.
I don't blame him
Valencia has always seemed to play like someone in a daze and not fully engaged. Dawdling on the ball and just not AT THE RACES.
The only game I can recall him playing with any energy was when we were EMBARRASSED at home by Crystal Palace and he finished the game getting stuck in and working hard.
Never seen that player again.
I am just surprised Everton have taken him.
Hope he does well enough to encourage them to buy him but suspect we will be selling him to another league next June.

I agree. It's a shame but best for all concerned. No excuse for his old man walk off against Bournemouth but he did look genuinely gutted. I wasn't at the Astra game and wasn't aware he'd done the same there, unless a few posters now are getting their games mixed up. I've said he was mentally fragile since Swansea away the season before last when Nolan cunted him off for not passing and he seemed to go so far into his shell that he became almost invisible. A few minutes later he actually had a decent shot and Noble tried to gee him up but you could see he wasn't listening. There were a few occasions after that when some determination seemed to click back in, Bournemouth away and before getting crocked against Everton at home for example (I think it was Everton) but too few and far between and in general he was just looking more and more like he didn't even believe in himself anymore. I genuinely hope he comes good but I would be very surprised if it's in this league.

I always wanted this guy to do well.
I was at the Astra game as well and was dumbfounded at the time it took him to walk off.
Before that, also in the second half, though he showed his total lack of football nous when he shadowed the Astra keeper around the box causing even further delay in the ball being released back into open play. This was after their keeper had been booked for time wasting ! So Enner thought I'll help him waste some more time !
Glad he's gone.

Seems in general that every £5m player is now £10m basically.
Sissoko is £30m FFS.
Unless something ridiculous happens Everton aren't going to be writing a cheque for £14.5m ...... we should now be circulating clubs in Spain and France say and letting them know that we will take something more reasonable next summer.

Koeman will probably make a player out of him, for me he looked at his best when he played alongside Sakho.
he actually has a really good 'leap' and was a real threat at the back post.
bit of confidence and everton might have a decent loan deal.
